I know what you mean turkey hunting is all I can think about, planning and replaning the hunt buying camo I don't need, making sure my vest is packed with all my calls etc.

Apr 12 is opening day in VA. I got a permit to hunt one of the local military bases. They issue 8 permits per weekend and I got opening day. Last year I got a bird that was just less than 20 lbs about 30 min after the season began. I broke out the diaphram and the slate call and am in the process of driving the wife and the cat insane. LOL

I'll be in CO in May to try for a Rio. Looking forward to that. It's been more than 10 years since I have got to hunt my native CO for gobblers.
