Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default camoflauge strikers

hi,

I just wanted to suggest this to people incase nobody had tried it yet. my dad and I was practicing our turkey callin on our slate calls awhile back and he realized that a gobbler would pick up on a long wooden striker swingin back and forth bretty easily. so he suggested we take camo duct tape and put over the end of the strikers, so it wouldn't show up as much. so I got some new calls today and just got through puttin camo duct tape on them and thought id share the idea with ya. heres some pics.

I hide my striker with my body an dis held way low and when a tom is that close any movement is noted by the tom and they be gone!

Am curious though did the duct tape change the sound?

If you have a turkey close enough to see a striker moving, you have the wrong weapon in your hand.

He should be dead

Ben Lee had a camo apron made. he put the call behind it to call so his hands and call where hidden.
