Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Kentucky Gobblers on the ground!

WHAT A WEEKEND!
For the part 5 years I have limited out all but one year... Last year! and not only did a not limit out but I didn't see one gobbler the entire season. And not for lack of effort. Well needless to say I out for a little redemtion this year after loosing my $20 bet last year in an embarrasing way. Well Saturday I got lucky and got one to gobble just before I left for the day. Then yesterday I got my best bird ever! he weighed just under 26 pounds and had about 1 1/2'' spurs. The bird I killed on Saturday was roughly 24 pounds so thats a heck of a bird as well. This is one turkey season that I will never forget!

Last year the only beards I saw were on hens! I could have legally shot but didn't. Sounds like you've had a great couple of days, I hope I have half the luck you did on my season opener this year.

I got both of those birds in Bracken County. Yea I was pretty lucky! I was kind of worried at the beggining of the season. I'm getting married here soon so that takes up a lot of weekends plus my yearly Fishing trip with my dad takes up the last weekend so I would have had limited time to hunt after Opening weekend.
