I believe turkeys see color, but I don't think blaze orange is an issue unless you move. And that doesn't matter if you're wearing camo or not, movement gets you busted. They also have blaze orange that's broke up with camo pattern if you're worried about it.

Otherwise, you could walk in to your spot and walk out with blaze orange but stuff it when you're sitting next to your tree.

Do I use the crow call to locate one, then use the box call to bring them in? Or does locating and calling them in with a box call work better?

Basically, you'd just want to use anything to get a shock gobble, then sneak within calling range, set up and call them in from there.

I would not use a box call to locate for two reasons, the first being if you're using the call to locate a bird, there could be a bird real close and you could be caught off guard if he came running to your yelping/clucking etc.

The second would be that it would be easy to overcall and educate the birds using a box call as a locator.

There are times when Tom turkey just will not
Respond to whatever you are trying to use
To induce a shock gobble. If you can get a
Shock gobble that is always best.

I've had good luck in those instances when the
Toms that I was reasonably sure should be
There but would not shock gobble, by using
A hen call and then sitting down and assuming
The birds heard the call and were coming in
Quietly, or they might gobble and come in.
Over calling is never a good thing. Doesn't
Always work but frequently enough that
It's worth a try on those days when you
Can't get a shock gobble.

Good luck
