I have had more than a few shotguns which includes remington, winchester, skb and mossberg. As far as pumps go for turkey the 3.5" 835 mosssberg is a very good pump and works great with federal 3.5" #5 turkey loads with extra full turkey choke (comes with 835). I also used a semi auto in the mossberg 935 3.5" and it too has performed very well with federal 3.5" #5 turkey loads. I have shot over thirty turkeys and most I have taken with a mossberg. Mossbergs are priced in the middle of pack and shoot extremely well.
