I guess that I would say beard and not because I shot,but because I called an 11" bearded gobbler to a hunter who had never shot a turkey. His expression after killing that first gobbler was one of amazement. We had worked two gobblers traveling together for three days before we were able to get a setup that really worked. I'll always remember that day.

Mines not on the list either,for me it's the response to my call,then the strutin and drumin. All the pagentry of the mating ritual. After that it's the spurs. I really want to get one with nice hooks this year.

me, i like watching them roast in the oven, means i did a good job, can't eat either the spurs or the beard, kinda tough
