My wifes relatives have property I will be going up to hunt in the Flinstone area of Allegheny Co. MD this year. I have never hunted for Turkeys in this area before and was looking for any info possible about bird populations and where to set my expectations. The property is pretty large( several hundred acres and is just north of Green Ridge. I've heard of lots of pressure in Green Ridge but I shouldnt have to hunt the park itself but am within .5 to 1 mile of it. Are there many birds in this area? Should I expect to even see or hear a bird? Anything you have to say would be much appreciated, Thank you.
