I recently visited one of Gander Mountain' s PA locations and ended up walking out with (among other things) a Beretta AL391 turkey shotgun. I' ve been trying to decide between three different autoloaders as a graduation present from my parents, the Beretta, Browning Gold and Benelli M-1 Field. When I saw and handled the Beretta the decision was made. The greatest feature to me is the scope mounts on the reciever. No more crappy after-market mounts. Now I can attach my Simmons scope right to the gun.
I was wondering if anyone else is shooting this model and what chokes and loads your using. I' m thinking of going with either a Rhino or Comp-N-Choke. Also, does anyone know where I can get sling mounting hardware for it? It has a stud in the stock but nothing on the forend.
Thanks
Tyler

This past spring i killed a gobbler with a AL390 special! It was a friend of mines gun and the bird came in at a tough angle for him to take the shot so he just gave the gun to me as i had a better angle. He mainly shoots the gun in the duck blind because its a synthetic constructed gun and withstands nasty wet conditions, but I killed the bird at 28 paces with the standard Mobil choke system that comes with the gun and it dropped him stone cole dead! It was a full choke with Fed 3' super mags,2 oz' s of #4' s copperplated....Never had shot the gun before but it sure felt fine to me and did exactly what it was suppose to do!It did have fibre optics on it also...Thats an awesome graduation gift congrats on the gun and graduation![8D]
