Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Isn' t September the greatest month of the year? Football; both college and pro get underway, the baseball playoff are just around the corner, and in most states I think its hunting season. Does it get any better than that!?

Right on WH.....as far as i' m concerned I wouldn' t waste my time watching those over-paid prima donnas on TV or for that matter live!!!!!!! [:@] I' d much rather be in the woods using my brain & senses hunting deer or turkeys & when there is no hunting season in my boat salmon fishing!!!!!!!!! Anybody can be a couch potatoe but only a select few can be successful hunters!!!!!!!!!!! [:-]Brampton Mike [8D]

I love October and April. In October all fall hunting becomes available--upland, waterfowl, deer, the fields turn amber, the air is crisp and clear, the days are cool, I get together with my buds and we take our dogs afield. September is a month too soon where I' m at.

Of course, spring is even better, and you all know why.

Yeah...here I am on a turkey hunting message board boasting the virtues of September when you can' t even hunt turkeys! Ooops! Okay...so maybe September isn' t all its cracked up to be, but it still ain' t too shab. I agree I think the sound of a spring gobbler in April has to be the best.

Hey Kits, as much as I dearly love the fall and whitetail deer hunting, there ain' t nothin' better than the month of April around here when those big ole toms are gobbling their heads off and the spring season opener comes around the 3rd week of April. So, another vote for April as best month of the year!
