Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Smile Still Strutting In Indiana

I was on my way home from checking my trail cams Saturday evening and as I got off at my exit what did I see but a big Tom strutting for a big hen. It's June the 4th when I saw this so I think I'll not worry about the birds having finished mating by the end of our season come the third week of May any more. He was a nice one,I wonder how long these birds will be mating here in Indiana after seeing that.

It never gets old seeing a big tom all blowed up strutting around. Its a long time until next spring!

Same here Swampbuster, I always want my hunts to include at least 15 or 20 minutes of being able to watch them strutt before I drop the hammer on them. When their in strutt mode they display why we pursue them so passionately, they are empressive birds for sure in full strutt.

Amen Bro! There is only one thing better than calling in longbeards and that is big bull elk in the rut!!! I yearn for the Spring and Fall for those two critters.

I was in Jefferson Co. last weekend and heard 14 different birds. Saw several tom groups together in the cut alfalfa fields.

Last Deer season, this Turkey season and the weather all have something in common. They all seemed to be out of the normal patterns.
