Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Need a recommendation on Set-up

I realize that every set-up is different and sometimes event two guns set-up the same will produce somewhat different results.

I am looking to minimize my costs in buying several different types of shells to find the right one, and your recommendations, experience is the best way to do it.

I am shooting a Rem 870 (26in barrel) with a .655 Gobbling Thunder Choke Tube. I have a Nikon Red Dot Scope that I have pattern with some cheap loads to get me center on paper.

Should I shoot Winchester Supreme Extended High Density 3inch, 5 shot?

Or...

Should I shoot Winchester Supreme Extended High Density 3 inch, 6 shot?

Or would you recommend a different load all together. If these is another related post you know of, please send me that way.

Thanks in advance.

I've got a buddy that shoots the exact same setup and he shoots 5's and 6's both pattern extremely well

The #6's will probably outperform the #5's, but either way that choke is a bit tight.
