I own a couple 870 Super Mags, (and several other shotguns). I have the Remingtons because they are absolutely reliable, my "go to gun" under the toughest conditions when nothing else might work. Good Hunting ! - - Pointshoot

In a few months I am going to buy a mossberg 500. It is $175. It is nice. Shoould I get it? What is another light, cheap and reliable 12ga? The most I am willing to pay is $250.00. I have been using my friends 835 and he hasn't had any trouble. Thanks,

Between these two, the Remington hands down. Mossberg's are nothing but problems, cheep wal-mart specials. I have put my 870 through h##l and back and it has never missed a lick. Squirrels, rabbit, dove, duck, geese, deer, you name it and it has shot it. I'm so attached to it I'm almost afraid to buy a new gun.

..Take no ofence,but i would not own another rattle trap 835,since i bought the 870 super mag,and pattern,i have not seen a mossberg yet that shoots like my remington,its done put 4 mossbergs in the dirt around here,in shooting turkey targets...
