Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Are you a Competition Caller and have some tips and techniques to help me win some contests?

I found some of this on another forum and also added a little,

The calling you do on stage is nothing close to the style of calling you do in the wild.
In Competition,
Competitors usually are given five different calls to perform while in competition. Each call is rated on a scale of one to 20. Practice is the key and understanding the sound and rythem of each and every call before you head to a comp.

On stage everything is based on a clean rhythm. It has to be flawless," In the wild, you can sound terrible and still call up a turkeys. On stage, it' s a whole different Ball game. The judges want everything Crisp , Clean and Clear." In competition, everything has to be perfect. " When asked by the judges for a call ,,only do that call , do not add other turkey talk to what was asked, this only opens you up for mistakes and a loss in scores.
Practice a routine in each call and stick with it. Do not change this as it will only add to mistakes aswell. Call to a recorder and listen to your calling on play back, this with help you pickup in sloppy calling.

Hope this helps...BT
