Any of you guys feel like you' ve lost your best freind since turkey season went out? I have been praying for april to hurry up and come seems like the months are getting longer and april is getting farther away. I could almost swear I saw a long beard stick his tongue out at me the other day cause the season was out and he knew he was safe! Anyway let me know if any of you have the blues!!!!!!!!!!

If you only knew....I' ve been hunting these birds going on my fourth year next spring with no success. I can' t wait to get back out there to hopefully redeem myself. I' ve put in for a special permit to hunt this fall. As bad as I want a tom I think I will be planning on trying to harvest a hen to try to thin them out by one. Just doing my part for management I guess. It was especially tough this past spring because opening week it rained and rained.

You better believe it! But the fall season is only about 11 weeks away, although it' s not quite the thrill for me as the spring season. It also coincides with the whitetail bow season so it' s always hard to think turkey especially if I' m seeing a lot of deer. So much to do.....so little time to do it in!!

@ Pat,Good one bud.Fall season can' t be to much fun for Adrian.H eclimbs into a tree stand and before he has his bow pulled up he has a buck under him so he shoots it and less than 1 1/2 hour later he shoots a turkey. This includes the time it took to clean the buck and haul it back to my house.$101 to hunt for 1 1/2 hours can' t be much fun.

. He' ll have it harder the next time with the point restriction. We' ll have to see if he can count that high
