Seeing More Birds
#1
It's been a while sence I've seen many Turkeys this summer but wendsday evening I saw six while driving home. One of them almost got to go home with me in my cars grill when he ran out in front of me. The dried up creeks are causing them to move to the ponds and the Blue River here in Southern Indiana thats where I saw all 6 birds heading for the water around 8:00 o'clock or so. It got me fired up seeing those birds and I'm ready to try for one with my Bow this fall and I'd be glad to take a hen, very glad. Good hunting to all and to all a full freezer!

I really wish I was ready for bow season this year - but I'm not.
Gonna have to make the 3 days of shotgun season work. That's just not enough to hold me over til spring though... Grrrrrrr! Next year I'll be ready w/ a bow!!! Hehehe
Good luck to all - make sure your signed up in the fall turkey contest!!!

Turkey Goddess do you Deer Hunt with your Hubby? Thats what will get me close to spring season without going crazy. Deer hunting is my first passion but the Turkey are real close behind them. I might try other game eventually but for now these two take up what spare money I have for hunting. Don't go
waiting for Turkey in the fall gun season get a gun
and get a Deer!

Hey
I'm thinking about deer hunting this year. I have a gun, no problem there. I'm afraid of heights (so, getting in a tree stand is OUT OF THE QUESTION) and hubby doesn't think hunting from a ground blind would be very successful w/ deer... I don't know. Hunting from a ground blind is the only way I'll be able to deer hunt - so I guess it all depends on whether or not I can convince him that it's NOT a bad idea... Ya know???
I'm opposite of you - Turkey hunting is my #1 passion... 100%!!! LOVE IT!!! I've been squirrel hunting - at least that gets me in the woods scouting for my gobblers... hehehe
Can't seem to get those dang turks off my mind... LOL
