Doetrain,
If you hunt deer successfully with a bow from the ground, you'll do just fine !
You'll need these two things.

Doetrain, I came to this site two years ago searching for knowledge just like yourself. The folks on this forum have a wealth of information, tip and tricks that will help make you a successful turkey hunter if you listen to what they have to say. With the help of these guys, my 12 year old son and I have both tagged out 2 years in a row. At the top of the main turkey page, there is a folder that reads: "Specific Turkey Tips and Tactics" . Click on it and you'll find a ton of knowledge written by guys that really know how to get it done. My best advice to you is to go back to post from a year ago and read all of the great advise that was given to new hunters like yourself prior to last season. Read as much material as you can get your hands on and pick up a DVD or two. I think that you will be fine with a couple of decoys and a call that you have confidence in. Remember, if you can see him, he can definitely see you so pick your times to draw your bow very carefully. Good luck!!!!
