I started off with regular Timberland boots but soon discovered that my lower legs were getting soaked occaisionally (dew, etc.) and my socks would pop out when I set up, ruining my camo. I switched to a pair of rubber camo swamp type boots from Redhead, but these are getting old and are about ready for replacement. Just the other day I ordered a pair of Rocky Osceolas I found online. The thing that hooked me was the turkey footprint on the front of the boot
. They' re in Mossy Oak Break Up, which should match my camo pretty well. Now I' m like a kid waiting for Christmas, looking for the UPS guy to arrive. So what are you guys wearing, and what do you think of them?

Well this year I used something complety differn' t and man did I like them. About three weeks before turkey season the wife drug me to the factory outlet mall. While there I noticed a pair of boots over at the Bass store that were the rubber bottom, leather upper 6" style. They were originally $69 and I got them for $20. I figured what the heck? They worked great, comfortable, were water proof and no insulation. About the only dry part on me the whole season

In wet weather, especially early season I also as MTT wear Lacrosse Burley' s!Late season when hot and dry I wear a lightweight camo boot called the Gobbler you can get at Walmart!Cheap, lightwieght, dry, and comfy! The best thing I wear on my feet though are my velcro socks! Its a high over the calf sock that is camo in color and has a velcro strap at the top that fastens as snug as you want it above your calf so the sock absolutely will never slide down your leg even if they get wet! When you set-up and your pantlegs come up you never have to worry about these baby' s given you away I highly recommend them !!!

I wore my Lacrosse Burlys more than anything this spring, I also wore a pair of camo Herman Surviviors. Next year I plan to have some better non-rubber boots, every time I wore the Survivor' s my feet we' re soaked.
