I bought the BassPro Ultra Snake boots for this past season. I liked them a lot. Waterproof and very comfortable. Spring and snakes just go together around here, not sure about NY though... If you need or want snake boots, I' d recommend these.

Another LaCrosse knee high rubber boot man here as well. I currently use their Burley' s and Grange models' . The Grange boot is uninsulated so it' s not as hot as the Burley' s in warmer weather. Like some have already mentioned, on the walk in, the wet field grass in the mornings will soak your pant legs from your knee' s down, and I hate wet pants, sock' s or feet!!!! This is where the knee high rubber boots shine. BB mentioned another good boot as well, some states have to deal with snakes, and those knee high water proof snake boots would be my #1 choice as well!!!

i have Rocky wildcats or soemthing like that. cordura is waterproof, Gore Tex soles and all that. Thinsulate for those cold mornings. Worked great. Had to throw out my army surplus and get those, much more comfortable. I got some Caterpillar steel toes for work, might hunt in them.

Hey there again. Apparently Rocky Osceolas aren' t made anymore[:@] so I had to find another boot - I bought a pair of Lacrosse Burlys in Hardwoods camo. They really look great and I' m looking forward to wearing them this coming Saturday. Let me ask this question to everybody who has these same boots - does the 800 grams of thinsulate get too hot ever in the late season? I' m in NY State, so I should be ok - right?
