Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

By all accounts the Nova is a great shotgun, but i love the 870. They have made 10 million of them for a reason

I bought a Nova for turkey hunting and hated it. It rattled too much and I could never get it to pattern worth a darn. I tried several different kinds of shells and choke tubes without any luck. I sold it and bought a Remington 870 SuperMag SPS-T. A much better shotgun than the Nova IMO.

I also have a Remington 11-87 SuperMag SPS-T. It is a turkey killing machine. I love it!

Well, I guess I'm going against the popular vote. I love my Nova, and get a good pattern with it. A year ago, I was trying to decide between the nova and 870. I was going to get the 870 supermag, but after looking at it, I found that the stock was too high for me. I couldn't get my head down low enough to look straight down the barrel. The Nova fits me very well, which is why I ended up getting that one. Both are very good guns, and you really can't go wrong with either one.

100% Nova! My first gun was an 870 then I got the Nova, HUGE difference! The 870 is just too thin for me. The Nova has a bit more bulk and is way more comfortable for me, it's much easier FOR ME to hold still. Same held for my girlfriend, I bought her an 870 and she didn't really like it and the shells wouldn't extract (obviously just a bad one, that part isn't normal) but then she tried the Nova and it was much more comfortable for her. I can't speak for sure on turkey, as this will be my first year, but it patterns nice and the gun is a TANK! It'll take anything you can throw at it....just my 2 cents!
