Got out to the farm at 5:15. Walked across the pasture to the woods and gave the owl call a try with no response. Walked down the hill and across the creek to another pasture in the bottoms. Tried the owl call again and the birds were behind me so I walk back across the creek and got to within about 100 yards of the birds. I got everything setup and started to call with the birds firing back. One was in front of me and three or four to my left. I called for about an hour and a half with the birds getting no closer so I decided to try and get closer. I crawled in the mud and cowspit for about an hour calling and listening to were the bird was. I finally got to baout 30 yards of the bird but still couldnt see him. I would call and he would fire back. He started to circle to my right so I moved as he did but still no sight of him but I knew he was within 20 to 30 yards. Finally I see his head through the brush and then he fans his tail and sticks his head above the bushes at 20 yards. Thats when the red dot was put on his face.

I seen a hunt like that in a Drury outdoors video once. He didnt even have to call it in. I think it thought he was a hen and came a running
