Default Hunting in the rain

well looks like my season opener is gonna be a wet one, they are callin for rain all day. what do you guys think and tips or suggestions? i hunt in area that really has no fields, all hills and hardwoods.

well firsi wear rubber pants!

And I would find a logging trail and sit along side of that.....if it lets up just a little - they will come and they still gotta feed ya know.

Better yet if you can find a loging trail with a T or intersecting rd - give sya a bit more area or look for a clearing and if not that sit the heavy pines......if it ain't raining that hard they may take refuge there for a bit.

I'll add that they'll be in any open area in their territory. Along with logging roads, any clearings or meadows, even along quiet back roads.

definitly hit the open areas. like they said maybe an old loggin road or just an open patch that is hidden away.

If it isn't a downpour, I've read that turkeys want to be in the open where they can see predators approaching,because the rain makes it harder for them to hear. They may stay in heavier cover during a downpour.
