Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

WOW Huntnma..that's awesome hearing all those birds,,
At the Green Swamp I;ve heard 3 now and saw 2 hens driving down the dirt roads..
One hunter got a 22 pound...11 1/2 inch beard and 1 1/2 inch spurs.

That is one big Osceola..

that is a nice gobbler.....a friend of mine went onprivate land in Osceola countyand killed a 21lber, 1 1/4 inch psurs and a 12 '' beard, It looked like it was 13 -14 inches, so I broke out the tape measurer....Florida has some nice birds, we really do...later on in the season they lose weight but to begin with, it's pretty darn good weights. The one WMA I work on, 4 of the birds taken were 19 lbs...19.6 was the biggest...which was one of the guys I work with, his bird had 1 1/2 inch spurs too...2nd bird he ever killed...2nd year turkey hunting, he was so happy...a lot of 3-4 year old birds being killed., it's great.

It sounds like if it hasn't come to anything that you tried so far, it probobly won't come next time. Unless it's a tom that's a lot bigger than any other turkey around, I'd give up on it and try hunting another bird. Sounds like you've got a few other birds around. Good luck.
