Need help from you guys on what you think is the best non toxic loads for turkeys. A friend just found some birds in an area that is no lead. He’ll be shooting an 870 with factory full choke tube. Some help on good loads to start testing would be great. Thanks…….

I've tested several manufacturers offerings and the best of the best is still the original and multiple World Recordholding HEVI-SHOT. It's simply awesome through every gun we've tried it in. From our Benelli SBEII to our T/C Encore Pro Hunter.... nothing seems to consistently outperform Hevi13 turkey loads
Here's a pattern from yesterday.....! [:-]

Do the Feds and State Wildlife authorities consider Hevi-13 and Hevi-12 nontoxic? I'm not sure that I know the answer to this?

It's actually a tungsten-nickle-iron mix, although expensive.... it's vastly superior to lead in every way. If you haven't tried it... you don't know what you're missin'.
Good luck and good shootin'

If he is going to be using the factory full choke you might have him take a look at the Federal Heavyweights. With their Flitecontrol wad and his full choke he will probably get better patterns with the Federal opposed to the Hevi-13.
