Default Remington 870 supermag w/ scope

i have a scope on my 870 and the mount that holds it on is kinda like a saddle and when i shoot the gun that mount comes back and catches my the side of my hand between my trigger finger and thumb right on the side of the knuckle...anyways i was wondering if any of you kno what i could do to stop that from happening...holding it as tight as i can and it still does it....

I had the same problem with my 11-87 and wound up having the receiver drilled and tapped for a scope mount. I had bought the saddle mount from my gunsmith along with the gun and when the realized the problem I took the mount back to him and he drilled and tapped the receiver for a scope mount. He exchanged the saddle mount for the labor.

Another option for Remington is buy the choke tube cantelever barrel. It is 21 inches - comes with a rifled choke tube for slugs which all you do is take your current turkey choke and replace the rifled choke. I got my barrel in matte -so no need to camo.

Now what that does - I have a turkey gun, a deer slug gun and going back to the original 26" barrel I have a duck and pheasant gun.

Just another idea.
