Thanks folks, it was a real thrill for me. Sorry I forgot to put the weight down, it was 18 lbs. even. And Maytom, these are eastern in East Texas, I live in the " Big Thicket" pine curtain of Texas. It' s more like northern Florida here than where you just went.
Took a friend out this morning and called in two for him. His was 18.5 lbs. with a 10 1/4" beard and 1" spurs. Got to see more strutting and hear more gobbling and the spit and drum again. I' m taking one more buddy Sat. morning but that' ll be my season. If I don' t get to go again it' s been a memorable one!
