    I've never tried it out of a stand usually I run n gun. faster paced and more exciting to me that way

    Today we put up a new tree stand in a field...i think it would be good to turkey hunt out of if its raining...it's got a roof on it and turkey like to be in fields in the rain...


    I have turkey hunted out of a stant before....it doesn't work to well.

    They will see you unless it is one of those houses on stilts. Plus running out of one to try to get a wounded turkey wont work well[:-]

    Agreed...They will see you! Plus easier to move quickly from the ground.

    Ground blinds or sitting right in the bush. But, no, I've never tried a tree stand.
