Default bright colored fletch, scare turkeys?

Just curious, for the bow hunters hunting turkeys, any truth to it that the bright colored arrow fletchings will be spotted by or spook the turkeys quicker than say, green and white fletchings?

I believe they can see bright fletching and will spook. It has happened to me more than once during archery season in the fall. Sitting in a treestand fully camoed from head to toe and motionless with my bow resting on my knee, I' ve had turkeys, especially gobblers, spook and run for no apparent reason. I have bright orange and yellow fletchings on my arrows though and a bow mounted quiver so I would recommend if you are targeting turkeys and are not in a blind of some sort, you need camo colored or dull colored fletchings for sure especially if you have a row of them lined up in a bow mounted quiver.

In the past I' ve used a Sims fletching cover. Easy
to put on and take off. This year I took some of my
old Gold Tip' s and had black & brown vanes put
on them....they' ll be next to impossible to find,
but as long as I fill my tag it will be worth it.
Even on private land, I' d think twice about using
white, red, or blue fletching/vanes. The few
bucks you spend on getting them refletched is
worth keeping some idiot from shooting the
" white" he sees on your arrows.
