If that is a main feeding area they will probally be back. Try setting up on the opposite side from where your friend was when he spooked them. I would give it a try.

After spooking them 2 days straight, I' d go to a different spot and rest that area for at least a day or two. They' ll return if they aren' t getting chased out on a daily basis.

Get right back in their face! Just be more careful about spooking them.
Are you getting there late? I guess I' m curious on how your spooking them,
and what time of day this is going on. Remember they' re just birds they don' t think nor do they reason. BUT you must be careful.

I would get in there before light and use a locator call and see if you can get a bird going on the roost. Then decide where to set up in relation to the roost. If they don' t come your way, they make a lot of noise in the am you should be able to follow them to see where they are going. The following day set up along the route they took the day before. If you get there late you have to be careful, stay in the trees and watch the field edges. If I' m late I usually just wait until I know the birds have come off the roost before hunting them. If they are in the tree and it is light they will bust you every time.
