Spit-n-Drum,I also shoot a 10 and reload my own turkey loads.Last year I loaded a few #2's and killed my last longbeard of the spring season with one of them. The load patterned about the same % as my #4's.4's are what I prefer to shoot, because I get about an 84% pattern at 30 yards traveling at 1240fps.But I'll tell ya one thing those 2's just hammered that longbeard.Even though you have extra downrange energy shooting 2's dont expect a better pattern than 6's or 4's.At least this is what I've found out shooting 3 different shell manufactures loads of #2's.Try it on paper yourself and see what you think.

I just ordered a box of nitro ammo in 4x5copper x 7 hevi shot according to ray at nitro these are some wicked loads Ray said that with my moss835 i should get 340-380 pellets in a ten inch circle at 40 yds and with my 870 I should get 260-280 im using Rhino choke tubes which they recomend When the weather gets warmer ill let you know how they do they are expensive but if they perform who cares

I use the Rem. 4x6 2's are illegal here as well you may check it out as alot of states make the cut off at 4's for lead shot as mauser said some allow #2 steel

If you handload for your ten then get ahold of Ballistics Products. They now have #3 nickel plated shot in stock. I think you'll find that the #2 shot gives to thin a pattern even if legal. The #3 will give more pattern denstiy than #2 and hit harder than #4 as well. In the ten they should be the best of both worlds.
