Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Most of my kills have come one to two hours after daylight. Latest morning bird
was 9:45. I did kill one at 3:30 in the afternoon once. Never gobbled but he ran right in and attacked my jake decoy.

My best luck has came within 2 hours of fly down, I have taken a couple of gobblers later in the afternoon though. It just depends on what breeding phase they are in.

I have the most action within the first couple of hours of daylight. However, I have had more successful harvests after 10:00 a.m.

I probably have had more success between 9 and 10 as far as harvest goes. Usually after the hens leave the gobbler they seem to be more willing to come in without as much reservation.

I have taken most of my turkeys between 9am and 12 noon. I only took a few off of the roost also...

PAhunter86:
Are you sure about that PA law about hunting turkey after noon? I justed looked at the PA game commission website and couldn' t find it. They don' t say anything about a noon cut off. Here is what it says: " SPRING GOBBLER (Bearded bird only): April 26, 2003 - May 24, 2003. (1 bird limit)"
