Well guys, I just got through with my first string and cable replacement. Everything went well. My bow now reaches max poundage (It's been a while), Brace is the same, A to A came up 1/8" short. Don't have a draw board yet but DL seems to be good and, best I can tell, timing is on. Been out shooting and it seems good. Still need to fine tune. I am happy!

Congrats! Its pretty nerve wracking doing that for the first time, I just changed my string, but ended up sending my bow to the shop because of another issue and getting them to do the cables.
What strings and cables did you go with?

On your '08 Alley Ed? Nice job! The original string/cable isn't even broke in on mine yet, so its gonna be awhile for me. I even bookmarked Muzzy's thread on changing string/cable so when the time comes....nice thread Muzzy.

Yes it was on my 08 Allegiance. Many thanks to Muzzymans input. Coug, if it were not for the serving coming apart I would still have the original string on the bow. I have shot it a bunch and the stringitself was still in great shape. Also, got to try out my new bow press.
