Default Ladies/Youth Sport Turkey Gun

I posted a similar message on the guns bbs. I' m looking for a ladies/youth sport 20 gauge semi-automatic shotgun that shoots both 2 3/4" and 3" shells and is hopefully camo clad for my wife to use turkey hunting and shooting sporting clays/trap. I can' t find one. Does anyone know of a manufacturer who produces such a gun? The newest Remington youth sport turkey gun shoots 3" but they say it is not 2 3/4" compatible. Thanks in advance to all who reply.

My son borrowed a Browning for Pheasant Hunting last weekend. We shot 2 3/4 out of it but I don' t know if it takes 3" shells. It was not camo but a very nice gun. It was borrowed and we returned it so I can' t give you any more details.

The 870 youth 20 gauge not 2 3/4" compatible? Never heard such a thing before. If it' ll shoot 3" it' ll shoot 2 3/4" no problem. I know my daughters 870 youth 20 gauge does. In fact 80% of what she runs through it is 2 3/4" .

I' ll check the Rem website just to verify. But I think you' ve recieved some inaccurate info.

Remington website expressly says its 1100 LT-20 youth turkey model is not 2 3/4" compatible.

The 2 3/4 inch shells probably don' t have enough power to cycle the empty hull from a LT20. I' d look at the 870 Express anyway. It' s a nice gun. If you are worried about recoil, you won' t be shooting 3 inch shells out of it that often.
When I shoot 3.5 inch shells at a turkey, I' m usually so pumped, I don' t feel the recoil.

I agree that recoil should be secondary, as the primary purpose will be for my wife to use it to shoot at clays, etc. I also agree that the excitement will make recoil less noticable, though I still remember how I fell (was knocked) over backwards, myself, last year when I let loose with a 3 1/2 " 12 gauge load at a tom!!! Of course, I was in a very awkward position, as that tom circled me before he was in a good place for me to shoot.
