sight in day?

Does anyone on here have a local sport shop or club that offers a turkey gun sight-in day? My buddy that own his own shop offers a sight in day at his shop. He supplies the targets, earplugs, safety glasses and sand bags. We set up a 20, 30, 40 yard targets and a shooting bench. We also put a 45yd target out for the 50/50 shoot, who ever gets the most pellets in a 3" dot wins a custom box call. Oh, everyone has to use the same load, a 2 3/4 #5' s in the 50/50 (unless someone
slips in a 3.5 by accident of course
)
He puts out three brands of ammo in 4, 5 and 6 shot. If you want to try a different load, you buy the shell for a dollar. I' ll switch out he targets and write the yardage, shell size, shot size and pellet hits on the target. He' ll also have different chokes on hand for a variety of guns so that someone can try a tube before investing in one.
It' s a great time and everyone benefits from it. After the sight-in he holds a turkey seminar with a Wood Wise rep and offers food/drinks for everyone attending. Fun of everyone is what' s it all about

Tom,
I attended a similar event in Maine four years ago. I would be interested as would a friend or two . When and Where ?
I haven' t seen a turk for two months. I admit the cold has kept me close to the
furnace.

We don' t have anything quite that extravagant, but we have something close. One of the neighboring towns holds a Turkey seminar at a Sporting Club co-hosted by the NWTF and the CT DEP. There are raffles, information and seminars conducted by various people, ranging from professional guides/hunters to DEP wildlife biologists.
At lunch (which is hot and served on site) guys are allowed access to the shooting range. Various targets are free that day, and there are usually enough guys (and some gunshop owners) around to allow everybody to pattern their gun with various rounds.
There' s also usually a cabelas/bass pro proteam staffer there who lets us " investigate" all the new toys from the manufacturers.
Happens sometime towards the end of April, about 2 weeks before season.
