Default what calls to make when?

I know that when your turkey hunting you need to call, at least most of the time. But when do you make a certain call? Like a yelp put or cluck?

Default RE: what calls to make when?

There is several good CDs out to help you with this on the REal voices of turkeys and ehat they mean. Goggle Lovett Williams - I own Real Turkeys III and IV. I listen to the CDS everytiime I travel to my turkey hunting spot. Mr. Williams explains what calls to make and when and what to use.

But I use it more to hear the real turkey voice from various hens, to Jakes, to Ole Mr Tom.

Another great source is a DVD by Adrain Hare a Quaker Boy Pro Staffer. In this video he shows you how to use a box call, pot or slate call and various other calls. He explains the art of woodmanship and takes you on several hunts. He also expalins how to pattern a shotgun. All great info for anybody - even us ole guys who want to learn all we can even though we have hunted quite a few seasons. The DVD was well worth my 20 bucks!

And Adrain does frequent this web - you could Private Message (PM) him if interested.
