Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Scoring Turkeys

How many of you have your turkeys scored?

I didn't know this was tracked until it was too late. I was down this year cause I lost my lease and was on public land. Fri morning I shot the largest eastern turkey I've ever seen. 25lbs three beards (1) 12in (2) 8.5in and (3) 8in 1 1/8in spurs. I'm making a trophy out of the fan and beards.

Had a relative ask me about scoring him.... huh... Did some research and found out NWTF has an official scoring system and based on the records this bird would have been the 4th largest eastern registered in OK.

Too late now... Trophy is in the memories right....

Not really - do you have pictures to verify.

go here and down laod the form. Have your partner sign the form as he witnesed it - I would at least try

http://www.nwtf.org/images/WildTurkeyRecords.pdf

I can score it for you but need spur measurements.

here is the link ot he NWTF calculator we use for the HNI contest which is underway

I have a pic my wife took of it after I got home. I was hunting alone so no witnesses, but do have a friend and a neighbor that came by and saw it in the back of my truck. I also have the tag that shows the bird was checked in.

Thanks for the info!
