Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Turkey dusting

Is there a period of the day that turkeys dust themselves morning evening or just whenever?

You may not want to set your watch by them, but if you see them dusting at 12 noon then they'll probably be back around the same time again. It may not be the next day but they'll be back.

I mostly see wild turkeys dusting in the morning; but then again, I can only hunt until noon so that is when I am observing the turkeys the most. LOL! Last night I went out and sat along the field edge just to enjoy the evening show. Several turkeys were dusting around 7pm. IF the dusting behavior of chickens is anything similar, well, my chickens dust morning, noon and evening with morning and noon being slightly more popular.

Ive seen them at different times through out the day. I have mainly only seen hens dust. They are trying to get pretty for that old gobbler...
