RE: I am Really on a roll now - I need to go to Vegas
I'm Glad to here all is doing well in west Tennessee, I have also had the same bit of luck here in the mountains of east Tennessee with me, my father and, my grandfather all harvesting good mature birdsin the past three days...
I will be venturing out to Rutherford Co. in two weeks to try to lay the smack down on another one so hopefully the stars and planets will stay aligned over the Volunteer state untill mid-May..
I was in a similar situation this Saturday but i didn't have to sneak on a sleeping bird...just a 2 year old playboy

Fife
The spur on the right foot is 1 and 1/8. The image isn't focused well on the right spur and the spur is pointed more at the camara, therefore making itdifficult toappreciate itsrelative length vis-a-vis theleft spur. Theleftspur is significantly shorter that theright (somewhere between 7/8ths and1 inch) and not as upwardlycurved nor assharp.
Curiously the feet of this turkey, specifically the toes, are deformed, frostbitten or diseased. I wonder if that caused the discrepency between the spur lengths?
