Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Succesful Alabama Hunt

Today was my first hunt of the saeson and a good one.Turkeys were gobblin good and made for a very short but exciting hunt.Right after we got there and were setting up the decoys we hit the owl hoot and they were gobblin on the roost at about 75 yards away.As soon as it got enough daylight to seewe seen them start to fly down into the field.Could'nt tell for sure what all was in the group but new their was atleast one gobbler.I hit a few clucks with my mouth diaphram and2 toms started strutting and putting on a show. They slowly started making their way towards our decoy and one of the hens got to acting suspicious so my buddy went ahead and to a shot at about 40 yards.Hunt was over at 6:30.Did'nt last but about 30 minutes. We wanted to go for the double but decided to go ahead with the sure shot.9 1/2 inch beard and 1" spurs.

Here I am in Alaska and you are off turkey hunting without me. You SOB. Just kidding. Congrats on the gobbler. Wish I could have been there. Tell Brian I said congrats too. Tell that sorry suker I'm mad at him too. Ask him how his shoulder feels. Also, get him to shoot my single shot with no pad on it. I think I might have a few slugs he can shoot out of it too. Maybe next week that other one will be yours. You better call me if you get one.
