Default True practice makes perfect.

Ok well turkey season is still a month away but i have already been ripping on my mouth calls for practice. My goals this year were conquere the cackle and purr. I got the purr down and with a little more the cackle will be ready to go. I might need to go get more mouth calls. The more you practice the more vocalizations you canmake. I think i am pretty good on a mouth call considering i am only 15.

This evening I had my 8 year old boy and 2 year old girl out on the porch all with calls going at it. I am ready for the 5th. Youth season with my son.

Good calling is one part to the gobbler puzzle, but beware too much calling is not always the best approach.

yes overcalling can be worse than calling at all.
