OK, been spending the morning watching Penns Woods, and The Truth on the Outdoor Channel. Talk about getting a guy fired up for spring!!!
Cool hunts in spring with leaves starting to pop out, and big honking toms coming to the call. I really like the Penns Woods show because of it' s pros tips segment. I think it' s got good tips for rookies/semi-rookies. Today was just basic " how to hold your friction call" stuff. What do you guys think of the shows? Problem is....my season doesn' t start until April 30th!!

I was tuned in this morning as well. I think Knight and Hale give good calling tips as well. They are on on tuesday night. It is hard to be this fired up this far from season. It is still -2 outside with lots of snow. Can' t even consider scouting yet. Ah well better to have something to look forward to other than icefishing.

Like maineac,I really enjoy watching " Knight & Hale' s Ultimate Hunting" !Harold,David,Chuck, and Waltor not only are informative about hunting but humerous to boot!!Waltor still ranks in my mind the best turkey caller I' ve ever heard and had the priviledge to compete against!!

I think the Outdoor Channel is the best thing to come to television in a good long time. Knight and Hale, Gobblin' Fever, Penn' s Woods, Primos the Truth, Outdoor Traditions just to name a few are some of the best ways to pass the time during long winter nights. Problem is, like the others stated, it has a tendency to get you fired up to hunt a long time before the season gets here.
