Looking for a base.............
I bought a Winchester 1300 black shadow and want to put a scope on it. The guy at the shop that I usually buy from is having a hard time finding a Weaver style base for this gun. I told him yesterday, I would wait a couple more weeks to see if he can find it, but I need to locate one just in case he can' t. Do any of you know where I could find one if he can' t. Don

Don, I am looking in my Natchez catalog and they have a 1 pc. Weaver base in matte finish for the Winchester 1300 on page 44. Cost is $4.98. All you will need is the base and a good set of rings. I have a Weaver base and Burris rings installed on my Rem. 870. Makes a great setup! You can view their catalog on their website www.natchezss.com if you wish. Hope this helps.

Don, I don' t know if they stilll make this one, but I have a tasco base and rings on my 1300. As a matter of fact this was the very first base and rings I ever seen like this!! The base comes with " studs" already machined into it, and the rings sit down on top of these studs. They fasten by two small set screws on either side of the rings!! Very streamlined and seem to work great!! They have been there for 11 years now!!
