I busted a 20 lb. gobbler last spring on one of the worst windy days of April I've ever seen. We had 25-30 mph winds with gusts up to 40 mph. I had to use my box call to get my calling out there over all that wind, but it worked out fine. I try to set up on open fields in those conditions because the birds seem to stick to those areas for the sake of their vision and hearing. I tend to enjoy those "rough" days in the field, whether its wind or rain (you just have to dress for it and tolerate it), the birds are still there just more cautious. I also find that I put up with alot less hunting pressure from other hunters (most don't like hunting in bad weather), which just increases my odds. Good Hunting ... SHOTARYE
