Mine is a 21" barrel but I think the pattern is more a result of the choke then the barrel. I don't see why it wouldn't pattern just fine, might lose a few fps but in a turkey gun it shouldn't matter much. I'm sure that short barrel will be real handy to carry through the woods.

Typically the longer the barrel, the better pattern you are going to get, however, when turkey hunting, a longer barrel isn't always the thing to have. There is a happy medium that has to be found.
