I often scratch the leaves without making turkey calls. Sometimes that closes the deal.

I'm saying that the law here states that you need to have a call on you. Furthermore, stalking turkeys here is illegal. That's a dangerous way to hunt. I agree that using your natural voice is okay to do, and I will try it, but you need to have a call on you to hunt.
