Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Officially Crossed into Insanity

Well I have decided to go and pattern my uncles H&R single shot 12 gauge. It says that it's full choke so we will see. If it patterns well enough I plan on actually using it on a turkey this year. Should lead me to needing shoulder reconstruction surgery but it should be funny for everyone else. And for those of you who havent had the opportunity to shoot a H&R single shot I advise you to do so because it is so much fun to get the crap kicked out of you. Ok time for bed....

Good luck with that, if you can take it you might get a decent pattern. They make a special turkey edition that has a ridiculously heavy barrel, is that the one? Or are you going to try it with the standard 5 pound gun. If so, hang on!

My firts turkey gun was a NEF single shot 10 gauge. After pattering it with a few shots, I had the brilliant idea of removing the weight from the stock so it would be lighter to carry in the woods[8D]. This was after I beat my shoulder with about 5 shots.Needless to say I only shot it once without the weight in it. After I came back to my senses and my vision returned to normal, the weight went back in.
