Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

I'm taking time off, because the only week I could draw here in Wis, I'm scheduled to work 4 outta the 5 days. Would like to take time to go to SD or Nebraska, but goose hunt planned for Canada this fall will kill most of that funding.

on a normal year i used to miss about 15-20 days of school a year and was only sick one or 2 of them...but this year my dad got fridays and saturdays off so i can hunt and fish without missing school and i missed 2 days this year(did tag out the first day of deer season too so that helped get me back in school) turkey we usually take a week trip then if we sitll havent taken a bird we take a few more days...but this year i dont know whats going on..i know we have a few days...but im 16 this year and i got turkeys behind the house so dad can say he quits and im still able to hunt...it was nice when i was young..the end of the school year we did nothing..now we have finals and all kinds of stuff so i try to show up more...this year i will probally go on the normal week trip missing 5 days then hunt saturdays..maybe skip a day or 2 and hunt myself if i havent shot a bird yet...

I take time off to guide depending on how booked we are. Usually I don't take time for myself because I usually save that for bow season. I do however hunt prior to work everyday for myself.

I'm not going to be able to go skiing this year on my Spring Break like I usually do every year because it falls different than everyone elses. Instead, I think I'm gonna head to Mississippi with my dad and try for turks on my Great Uncle's land. Usually, I'm just able to hunt on weekends here in the state. School gets out for me on May 2nd, and I may head to Kansas to try for turks then too.

All in all it'll cost a little over 200 bucks for both out of state licenses. Kinda expensive, but I'm sure good adventures await at both...plus I can't really kill one here in the Natural State...lol

I have taken 2 weeks vacation to spring turkey hunt for the last 10 years now and this spring will be no different. I can't imagine having to be at work during season anymore and knowing birds are out there gobbling waiting for your calls! It's the best vacation time you will ever spend, guaranteed! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
