I've got a river valley glass that's pretty sweet.
But....the Cody slate is one awesome call....and I love runnin it. Between that and the mouth calls I got from HB (Hunsucker).....I won't use too many others, this year.

Hey, Droptine, if you haven't been to the Harrisburg show yet there are more turkey calls there than you could work in a lifetime. I'll be going again this Saturday. Gotta get more turkey calls!

I carry the full quiver... glass, slate, aluminum and crystal.
What I use depends on the weather mostly... as well as the birds.
I tend to prefer glass myself.... but above all I prefer a "20# victory walk" back to the truck

Yeah, I think we're leaving around 0730'ish. About the only thing I'm interested in is the turkey calls and the Skoal Girls![:-]LOL! I gotta get some last minute turkey stuff. Belt, boots..etc...

I use'em both. One of my favorites is a discontinued (aren't they always) model by QB called the Finisher. It's a small slate that's works great for me for tree calls & purrs.
