Long Range- Glass
Shorter Range- Slate
Dan
Exactly. I'll use my glass call or box call mostly when it's windy out, like today. Something that'll cut through the noise. Then when I'm in position I'll grab my slate call and sweet talk 'em. Nothing like the purrs and yelps of a slate call to drag that ol' tom in. When I'm pretty confident that the ol' tom is about to "see the light" I'll work him with the mouth call that's been in my mouth since I left the truck that morning.
Hey,
Droptine, if you haven't been to the Harrisburg show yet there are more turkey calls there than you could work in a lifetime. I'll be going again this Saturday. Gotta get more turkey calls!
