Bob is the man!!! We used Bob last year and I think Bob helped us take out 4 or 5 nice Toms. He worked real well here. I took Bob out 1st season last year here a Tom came in and was floggen on BOB!!! Tom was trying to mess up Bob, but me and Bob won the fight!!

I bought one last year, put a real fan on it. I also hooked some duck decoy string to the wings and would pull on the strings to move B-mobile back and forth like he was strutting. Between me, my dad and 2 brothers we all killed birds with it. They came running to him, three times he was attacked, on my dad's bird,we had 3 long beards in a field about 200 yards from us, I hit my gobble call and got their attention and then started moving B-mobile with the strings. They were running so fast and bumping into each other they almost fell down a couple of times. I think they would rather fight than......:eek:well you know.

I've never used one, but I was watching the Primos video last night where they used it. It worked great for them. Of course not all turkeys are the same. It may actually intimidate some. I just cut a slit in the tail end of my feather flex jake and stuck a real jake fan in it. Serves the same purpose and is a hell of a lot cheaper.

RE: B-MOBILE

B-Mobile works --- TOO WELL!

To me its almost like a canned hunt. It takes the birds out of their nautral phase and kills the challenge for me. They get severe tunnel vision and lose their judgement. They just plain get STUPID! Its been said that a real turkey hunter doesn't hunt turkeys to KILL turkeys. He hunts turkeys to HUNT turkeys.

If all you want to do is to score a bird and go home, then B-Mobile is a BIG tool in your box. But if you like to match wits with that wary old bird and conquer the challenge of getting him in close, then let Primos sell their newfangled decoy to somebody else.

Tuco 02-07-2008 11:13 AM

RE: B-MOBILE

I see as just another tool in my hunting arsonal, just like my calls, camo, shot gun with extended range loads, hen decoys, and locator calls. If we really want to match wits with an old tom, we should go in thewoods with none of the above and give it a try.

B-mobile is the real deal. Be careful using B-mobile, you might get run over by a big ol' Tom.

Does it come with the fan.

It comes with a silk fan, and a adapter to make one out of real feathers. I used real feathers on mine like in the pic.

Tuco

Could you give more details of how you hooked up the strings and how it works?

RE: B-MOBILE

I took a hole punch and punched a hole in each wing about 3" from the tip and about 1" up from the bottom edge. Then Itook 4 cheapo tent stacks and bent them into like an I bolt and painted them green. I put the decoy facing me and use duck decoy string I got at Wal-mart, I tie it to each hole and run it through a couple of stakes for each wing to where I am sitting, then I just work the strings back and forth like a puppet, works great.

This decoy is BETTER than the pretty boy. It's easier to carry

RE: B-MOBILE

The easier carrying is what sold me on the B-Mobile. I liked the Pretty Boy but it is to hard to carry

OK, Back in Forth, do you mean Side to Side in a Rocking Motion? Or for 10-15 Yards? On a String.

I also don't understand how you used the Tent Pegs can you elaborate?

TF

Tuco 02-09-2008 04:57 AM

RE: B-MOBILE

The tent stakes just keeps the strings low to the ground and separated, they are about 3 feet apart and spaced about 3 feet in front of the decoy and then about half way to me. You pull on one string and let the other get pulled away from from you, the decoy sort of moves about 45* one way and then the other like his is strutting and turning partially around. Practice it before trying it in the woods. I place my decoy about 20 yards out in front of me. Natrually you need to be setting in good cover in order to move the strings with your hands, just move slow and easy, they will have their eyes on B-mobile.

RE: B-MOBILE

that is a great idea. I would have not ever thought of that.....

Tuco 02-09-2008 06:08 AM

RE: B-MOBILE

I really believe the movement is a big key in it working like it did for me , my dad and brothers. When the turkeys seen him strutting they could not get there fast enough.

RE: B-MOBILE

I've got the Pretty Boy decoy and yes it’sdoesn't collapse down or fold uplike theB-Mobile decoy. Does that only issue make it better? Not really. My buddy has a B-Mobile and he's sick and tired of trying to get the thing to keep a good shape or putting the tail attachment together in the dark. I'd rather not be out in the woods hunting and not trying to get the thing set up right.

I got mine as a x-mas present and only use on birds that I've tried everything in the book on, to have fun with a bird or if I'm hunting with someone late season. I don't rely on using it on everyday hunts. For those that need to use it every time they head out, I can see why B-Mobile is better for them. With the Pretty Boy decoy, they give you very large safety orange carry bag that straps right over your shoulders and makes carrying around easy.

I carry mine in a mesh decoy bag and never had a problem with it keeping its shape, and the tail attatchment has a slot in it that slides over a bolt with a wing nut on it, I can do it by feel in the dark with no problem. I can have my whole deal set up in about 3 minutes in complete darkness.

That's great that you've got it down to 3 minutes in complete darkness ;) It's funny that you transport just like a Pretty Boy (in the mesh bag) and it still takes three minutes. Sounds like if you didn't have to put the fan together it would be easier and quicker.

Maybe I should trash the B-mobile and get a Pretty Boy and cut my time and trouble in half. By the way, the B-mobile come with a orange bag with back pack straps, I just like the mesh bag better.

I was visiting another forum and came across this thread. I thought this would be good tip to post to share for anyone wanting to purchase the B-Mobile. It just might keep you from wasting time or hunt looking for them when you drop them ;)

Has anybody used the B-Mobile from Primos? I am thinking about getting one and just wonder how good they really are.
I bought one last year but have yet to use it as I just haven't found the right opportunity to do so. Plus I haven't felt much like hauling it around either... lol. I probably shouldn't of bought the dang thing as it will probably never get used. I put a real fan and beard on mine and bought extra wing nuts for it too. I then painted the wing nuts and other items on it blaze orange so I could easily find them if I dropped them which I am sure I would be bound to do.

I just through mine out with the trash, so I don't have to worry about losing parts, hauling it around in the woods, and taking so much time putting it together.:D:D Plus, I only had it attacked 4 times last year while hunting,,,what a waste.

RE: B-MOBILE

Why do you take my post so personal Tuco? The thread asked for opinions and I’m giving mine. If it works great for you, then thumbs up! Keep right on using it. It cracks me up how personal people take stuff on forum where opinions, thoughts and advice is asked for.

I’m also sorry that my decoy attack record can’t compare with yours. I can only say that my decoy was attacked twice but then again, I don’t feel the need to use it that much! In fact, it was only used three times so far. Once to just see how well it worked, once for my taxidermist son and once on a late morning hunt on some high pressure birds.

The B-Mobile is exactly like Pretty Boy with the exception that the B-Mobile collapse down and sometimes needs re-shaping and you have to put together the fan. I know for me! I like the fact that when we want to take it out, all I have to do is……

1. Take it out of the bag (fluorescent orange mess bag with shoulder straps! Sorry bud, no point there for B-Mobile)
2. Put the stake in the ground
3. Put Pretty Boy on stake
4. Stick fan in decoy and it’s done

Nowing nuts to put the fan together! No re-shaping of the decoy! (if you should happen to carry it in your vest)
