NEF shotgun

I think I found a turkey gun I can afford!
Has anyone had any experience with the nef turkey guns?
I was going to get the black stocked 3-1/2" 12ga with extended extra full screw in choke with the 24" barrel. Does this sound about right?
My old mossberg just won't cut it.

Kodiak, I hunted with and old NEF 10 ga for years and taken several turkeys with it. They are a good gun for the money, I finally bought a Rem. Super Mag mainly just to have more than one shot if needed. Most of the NEF shotguns I have saw and shot shoot a pretty good pattern. To sum it up, I would say that they are a good ,reliable gun that you don't really hurt to much if you decide to do a belly crawl for a hundred yards to get into postion on a big longbeard. For the money they are hard to beat.

Get it and use 3 inch shells.

Why the 3" and not the 3-1/2" ?

You can use the 3.5" shells-just remember to say"hey ya'll,watch this" to everyone before squeezing the trigger!

and don't lean completey against that tree either, might want to save a foot or two between your shoulder and the tree

Kodiak,

I use the same gun for turkeys. Fine shooting gun and only runs $100 or so.

I must agree though that if you love your shoulder intact, stay away from the 3.5 and away from the tree.

That little booger will kick like a mule doing the polka!

Ok, at 6 pounds it seems like it would kick hard and fast. So what ammo do you use and what's your max range?

I met one guy that said he had two of these guns and both didn't eject the shell, have any of you had a problem like this?

I have the NEF 10ga in bottomland camo. It shoots awsome. I also had my gun smith put a cantilever scope mount on it and mounted a turkey scope on it. Also put a Tru-glo choke in it and it is a real shooter out to 40 yards.
